Robyn Heath has made a pretty good life for himself away from Pickleville. He loves his job as a paramedic, has a best friend he adores who also happens to be his partner at work, and he even gets laid every once in a while. Life couldn’t be better. Until the man who broke his heart comes back into town.

Caden Flynn has been gone for a long time. Five years fighting for his country has taken its toll and changed him in some fundamental ways. One thing he wants more than anything is to right the wrongs he’s caused Robyn. Robyn proves to have a very stubborn heart.

Review

Unrelenting Feelings is the eighth book in the Pickleville series by author April Kelley.  I have not read this series in order, and I was not lost. I love series like that where I can pick it up in any order.

Caden well he was very hard to like at first. As a kid not thinking about the consequences, he left his hometown for the service, he never even told the boy he was dating.   Real jerk move.

Five years later when he comes back, well he figures out fast he had better grow up or Robyn was not going to be there for him.

Robby he works in the town over from Pickleville.  He is a paramedic.  He has a life and a best friend. He doesn’t need Caden back in his life. But sometimes feeling are hard to ignore.

I think both men grew a lot in this book.  I did like that. I love a good love story and this is that for me.

They say the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else…

At least that's what Ben is trying to convince himself. Ready to put his ex-boyfriend in the rear view for good, he connects with a handsome older man who's only interested in something quick and casual. Their rules are simple—no strings, no feelings, and absolutely no kissing.

Thomas has never been with a man before, but in the midst of divorcing his estranged wife, he knows it's something he is ready to act on. He's wondered for years if his attraction to men is something real, so hooking up with an experienced and gorgeous younger man seems like a surefire way to find out. Better yet, it’ll kill two birds with one stone: exploring the depths of his midlife awakening and moving forward into a brand kind of new life.

One time together turns into two times, and two turns into something regular, but the rules still apply… until they don't. Late night phone calls lead to early evening dinner dates, and one by one the rules are all out the window.

Ben was supposed to be Thomas's first time, and Thomas was supposed to be Ben's rebound...but what if the best way to get over someone is also the best way to fall in love?

Review

Rebound by Kate Hawthorne is a really nice love story told in dual POV.  I loved the connection and love in this story.  I did feel like something was a tad off in this story.  I did like though that two men who had real trust issues were able to find love.

Ben is coming out of an abusive relationship. He has to find out who he is without the abuse.

Thomas is coming fresh off a divorce from his wife.  He is finally giving into urges he has ignored for a very long time.

Overall good story. I am really happy I got a chance to review this one.

Noah is Griffin Colewater’s best friend and absolutely no one knows him better. Certainly not any of the parade of girlfriends he’s had over the years. Even his most recent, Lauren, whom he has been with the longest.

And just broke up with.

Does it make Noah a terrible friend if he’s just a little bit thrilled about that?

It doesn’t really matter, though. Griffin is the oldest son of the owners of Colewater Properties, a multi-gazillion dollar hotel conglomerate. He is also next in line to take over when his father retires which makes Griffin the most sought-after bachelor in the city. So, another girl is right around the corner.

The issue? Griffin’s mother claims to be desperately tired of his playboy antics. She is demanding Griffin settle down with a wife and family “or else”. Being that Griffin has never actually been able to please his mother in anything, Noah doesn’t understand Griffin’s hopeless mission to make that happen now.

Which makes the huge charity bash his parents are throwing a bit problematic. His mother is insisting on meeting Lauren. Yep. Griffin has yet to tell her he’s single again. And he insists he’s not going to. Instead, Griffin does something insane. He hires a fake girlfriend. Yah. A fake Lauren. Well ― not fake. She’s a ‘Lauren’, too. But that’s not the point. Griffin asked Noah to provide the “girlfriend for months” knowledge to Lauren number two so she could pull this whole ‘girlfriend’ thing off.

Honestly. What can go wrong with that?

Everything.

Because Griffin is not only Noah’s very best friend in all the world, Noah is also so crazy in love with the man, he hurts. A stupid stunt like this could reveal that very thing and freak Griffin’s parents out so badly, he’s sure they will gift Noah with cement boots and personally pitch him off the pier themselves. But the bigger problem in Noah’s mind? Griffin is totally not gay and if he ever found out Noah’s true feelings?

Review

His Fake Boyfriend by author Hurri Cosmo, is a cute romantic read. I love a story that is pure romance with heat and this one is that. I love the cute awkward characters that steal my heart.  I love the artwork in this story too. I love the little extra touches that make a book that more special.

Noah: he is a man who needs a keeper. He has a great heart, but things do not always work out for him. Crushing on his best friend, that is going to get him a broken heart, or so he thinks.  Specially since his friend is straight and from a powerful family.

Griffin:  he has a girlfriend, but he would drop her in a minute for Noah.  He tries to do what he should and please his parents.  Though his parents never seem to think he is good enough no matter what he does. He values his friendship with Noah he couldn’t live without it.

I truly loved this story. Cute, sweet romance are my favorite. This story is very low angst, can be finished in one sitting.  I personally love a story I can fall in love with and this one is that and more.

What do you do when your mate is in a catatonic state? Sparky and his soul dragon knew the answer. Care for him, love him, and do everything you can to keep him safe. Teagan wished there was a way to get his mate to hear him but he was a prisoner in his own mind. When a dead body is found on Drago land, the two must figure out how to release Teagan from his prison before it’s too late.

Review

Teagan is trapped within his body. Trevor has a sentience who is present in body but not mind. Will they ever connect?

Dragon Healing is seventh in Cree Storm's D.O.A. series. I really enjoyed this addition to this series. Teagan is trapped, unable to speak but aware of everything. I love how much Trevor takes care of the man he doesn't know but is driven to protect. He enjoys just being around Teagan. I love that Ms. Storm allowed us to see the love and care Trevor gave to Teagan...with no guarantee his sentience will ever reciprocate. I loved seeing their family of love and blood step up as well. I loved seeing miracles happen even as danger surrounds the town they all call home.

I enjoyed the sense of love and caring that permeated this story. I think it is my favorite in this series to date. And I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is an extended version of the book 6 from The Heart of the Beast - MM Author Valentine's Giveaway Event book was a 15k words this one is a 45k words. It's like a whole new book.

How a person sees themselves is not always how others see them. This is a lesson Gordy must learn when the tall sexy agent, Gunner, shows up on a blind date and tells him that they are mates. Well he would learn it if someone wasn’t trying to kill him.

Review

Gunner has a stalker...at least he thinks he does. Gordy has lusted after Gunner for the last 25 years. When a picnic turns into a misunderstanding and a blind date turns dangerous can Gunner and Gordy learn to communicate?

Dragon Image is the sixth installment in Cree Storm's D.O.A. series. I loved returning to this world. And while it can be read as a standalone it is better read in order. I loved getting to know both Gunner and Gordy better. Gordy is so shy and has self- esteem issues. Good thing Gunner has been dealing with just that issue with his dragon Jamil. But can he be convinced that he needs both Gordy as well as Jamil? I loved seeing Gordy and Jamil blossom with their budding relationship. I loved that Ms. Storm allowed us to watch as Gordy realizes that he has both new friends and a new family. I loved seeing Gordy and Jamil see themselves as others see them and find they are stronger than even they knew.

I thoroughly enjoyed returning to this world Ms. Storm has created and I cannot wait to see where she will take us next.

Cobra has never interacted with the people of Drago since most are there to hide from their nasty past. Coming across his mate having a picnic with his dragon in Drago Park and a freak trying to kill him is more than unexpected as is discovering Cal is not Cal and isn’t even human? Cobra wants answers. He just hopes that he can get them before whoever is out to kill his mate succeeds.

Review

Cobra has received notes for the last twenty-five years. Nothing ominous just concerning.  So when it appears that he will finally have answers he found something he wasn’t quite looking for.

Dragon Elements is fifth in Cree Storm’s D.O.A series. I enjoyed getting to know Cobra, he’s a bit of a loner even with his friends. I love that Ms. Storm mated him to Cal. Cal knows pretty much everyone and loves to care for them. If possible he will help or get whatever is needed but he is hiding and secrets have a way of coming to the surface. Can Cobra accept what Cal hides?

I loved finding out. I loved seeing Ms. Storm find a way for Cobra and Cal to meet in the middle. With the help of friends Cobra, Taco and Cal begin navigating their relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing trust blossom between them. I loved seeing Ms. Storm show these men to slow down and listen.

This story is a well written addition to this series and I am looking forward to where Ms. Storm will take us next.

Callum and Nas have a perfect life until Callum rescues a man who turns out to be his familiar. How does he tell his boyfriend about witches and magic and fated mates?

Leopard seal shifter Rikar has been travelling alone, trying to find a place to belong since being forced out of home. He has convinced himself it’s not that bad and that he’s a free spirit. Just as he thought he’d found his feet, his world explodes.

When Callum hauls a man out of a burning bar, he doesn’t expect the kiss of life to lead to the familiar bond. Then he freaks out because he has a human fiancĂ© and a life he likes very much. He doesn’t want a familiar or a mate.

For Nas, finding out that witches and shifters are real—and that he was about to marry one—is almost enough for him to walk away. But there’s something about Rikar that makes him stay long enough to listen…to consider that his heart might be big enough for his witch and his witch’s familiar.

Dive into The Firefighter’s Familiar for a steamy MMM fated mates romance with a touch of danger, a leopard seal whose bite is definitely worse than his bark, and a relationship that’s strong enough to take whatever magic throws at it.

Review

The Firefighter’s Familiar is the ninth book in the Fated Mates series by author TJ Nichols.  I will say I was feeling like I missed something by starting with this particular book. So I would advise reading the stories in order.  I always felt like I was missing something.

MMM is very hard to do, making each man essential in the story is hard, but I love that it was well done in this story. Each person brings something the whole needs to the overall romance.

Callum, he is loving life. He has his perfect person that he loves and adores. He is a firefighter. Life is just good.

Except for a few minor details.  Like his lover is human, and Callum is a witch, and ohh Nas has no idea about paranormals.  You know the little things.

Riker, he is a Leopard Seal. I loved his strength. He is strong and wants to be his own person.  I think he brings the excitement and courage to this relationship.

Nas, he loves Riker. He is kind, sweet, and loves his life with Callum.  I think he brings the pure love to the group and that holds them all together.

Overall great story and I need to go back and read the stories I missed.
