Jamie’s life is one big financial mess, and it really isn’t his fault. However, the last thing he expected to find in the library was a Good Samaritan. He might have been suspicious of Guy’s motives at first, but it soon becomes apparent that his savior is a good man who has been lucky in life and is looking to pay it forward. Guy being gay is not a problem. Jamie’s not interested… or so he thinks.

Guy is happy to help Jamie, and the two men get along fine. But when Jamie’s curiosity leads him from one thing to another, Guy finds himself looking at the young man with new eyes. What started out as a hand up is now something completely different….

Review
Step by Step by author K.C. Wells is a book I could read repeatedly and never get tired of it.  There is a slow burn to this book that kept me turning the pages, I adore pure romances and this one is that for me.
Jamie he is a hard worker and trying to make a better life for himself. He is putting himself through college, he is about to lose the only home he has ever had. He has no one he can tell this too. That is when one fateful meeting changes everything for him.
Guy he is a good person with a big heart. He could be Jamie’s dad age wise. He is openly gay and willing to help Jamie for no reason what so ever other to pay back a kind act once bestowed on him.

These two ends up living together and getting along famously.  They each have their own hang ups and pain, but together they are more than they are apart. Jamie has never considered himself gay, but his falling for Guy felt so very natural and true. It is what you would hope you would find in a person you love. A best friend who you trust implicitly.  Over all I really recommend this book to a romantic soul like myself, it is good well written, and I think very believably done.
