They did more than just serve together…

Even after taking to the open road as a long haul trucker, Adrian Stokes can't seem to run away from his memories of Iraq. His time in the Middle East is never far from his mind, not because of the war itself, but because of a man he shouldn’t have been in love with. He never thought he’d see him again, but when a contract takes Adrian through his lover-in-arm’s hometown, he knows he needs see him—even if it means getting his heart broken again.

Chandler Longman joined the army to get away from his podunk town, but without any direction, he finds himself back where he started. Now he’s struggling to support his gifted four-year-old daughter, unable to provide her with the education she deserves. He’s trapped, and without a hope—until the winds of fate blow Adrian back into his life.

They’d agreed to leave the romance they’d shared overseas. After all, two straight men weren’t supposed to fall in love. But the moment they set eyes on each other again solidifies what they both knew in their hearts: There was no escaping the force of their love.

Long Haul is the first in the Long Haul series by author Harper Logan. This is a really angsty fast paced book that I really enjoyed reading.
Adrian is now a long-haul trucker. He used to be in the military with his lover and friend Chandler.  But when they got out Chandler changed. Dropped off the map so to speak. Now he has found Chandler again he has no intentions of letting go.
Chandler feels trapped by the small town he lives in.  He is unable to be himself. He has a little girl now and hides behind a bar.
But Adrian coming to town changes everything.
I like Chandler needs Adrian and Adrian certainly needs Chandler and his daughter. They each have what the other needs in life.  Together they are strong.
When you want a romance that touches the heart I really recommend this one.
