Jase Atwood is a man with a forgotten past and an unsure future. Living on the island of Caicos, he spends his time sitting in a bar drinking, scuba diving for sunken treasure, and working as a mercenary of sorts. Some referrals are by word of mouth, while others come from the United States—Tampa, Florida, to be precise. Trident Security is a private, special ops company that occasionally uses the ex-pat for missions in South or Central America or the Caribbean, since returning to the US would be far too dangerous for him.
Brie Hanson has lived on Caicos since she was ten. After her father’s death, she took over Daddy-O's, his bar/restaurant popular with tourists and locals alike. Her three-month relationship with Jase has been just for sex—no dates, no getting involved in each other’s lives, and no letting their emotions rise to the surface. However, when her sister disappears, Brie's lover steps in to help find the missing woman. But unbeknownst to either of them, Jase’s past and present are about to collide. Will it destroy their future?

Review
Jase and Brie have settled into a friends with benefits relationship that is working well for them both.  That is until Brie’s sister disappears and Jase steps in to help.  With the search taking unexpected twists, will they realize just how much their relationship has changed before it is too late?

Salvaging His Soul is the latest in Samantha A. Cole’s Trident Security series.  And let me say Oh Em Gee!  Talk about unexpected twists.  Ms. Cole drops a doozy and I loved it!!  Jase never expected to use his skills so close to home.  But when his sub needs him and his skills, he can do nothing more than help.  I loved and Jase and Brie together.  Before Nadine’s disappearance neither realized how deep their relationship had become.  Ms. Cole managed to hit both of them over the head showing them the love they hid from themselves and each other.  This story paced a punch.  It was emotional and action packed.  I thoroughly enjoyed this story from beginning to end.  Ms. Cole gave us a well written story which allowed me to reunite with old friends.  I can’t wait to see where she will take us next.
