Hiding out in a mental institution isn’t glamorous. I call it surviving.

I’m blissfully unaware of the world outside the walls—and spell—that hides me. Until the ghost shows up with talks about his friends being marked by a demon. Oh, but not just any demon. The same one who has marked me and wants me dead.

My Father.

Fearful daddy dearest would be my next uninvited guess, I make the choice to follow the ghost to his four, very alive friends. To my relief they want my father dead as much as I do. One thing I’m not prepared for is finding out that Zane—the alpha wolf shifter—is my mate, and the demon mark links the five of us—ghost included—together on a deeper level than I thought.

Teaming up and facing the demon stirs up passion and dark secrets none of us are ready to face.

Marked for Them by author Lia Davis is the first book in the Witches of Rose Lake series. I liked this fast paced, action packed start to this series.  There is a ton going on and it kept me turning the pages wanting more.
All the players in this book
Reese, has been hidden away in a mental institution for two years.  Only to be found by a ghost with a mission.  She is a demon/ witch hybrid.
Dimitri, he is a witch who is really scared of his powers. Considering what happens when he is a teen I cannot blame him.
Zane the Alpha were wolf.
Trevor and Wyatt are psychics. Wyatt lost his twin Wade.
Wade, a ghost who sometimes becomes solid. He has a complicated after life.
Ohh and let us not forget the Ouija board that starts all this trouble.
All of that together with a demon who wants to kill his offspring and you have the start of a memorable love story.
This is a very fast paced book. Lots of action and great dialogue too.  Great world building. I want to know more about what will happen to these people in the future. Does end on a cliff hanger. But overall, I cannot wait to read more and find out what happens next.
