How am I supposed to save the world when I'm not strong, not brave, not smart, and not particularly good at most things?

I ran away from home the day after my thirteenth birthday when Auntie and her weird friend attacked me. Now I'm on the run with the Grim Reaper and a scary soldier. And I'm no longer on Earth.

They were expecting me to be a Knight. The savior that's supposed to stop a war and prevent the invasion to Earth. But I'm not. They grabbed the wrong girl. I just don't know how to tell them.

Review
The Lost Knight in the Lost Knight Series Volume 1 by Candy Atkins, is about a young girl who struggles to know who she is as a person, does she have a purpose in life? It is the first book in a series and you can read it as a stand alone. The book begins with Agatha Stone, a thirteen year old living with foster parents “Auntie” and “Uncle”. She couldn’t wait to grow up and live in her own apartment, yearning for simple things like hot water and food. Little does she know her life will change after her “Auntie” tells her to gaze into a glass ball. She started hearing strange voices and seeing moving shadows, meeting the grim reaper and encountering magical creatures from another world. Beginning to think her life had purpose, she is faced with many challenges not all are good…
Cindy Atkins did a wonderful job with characterization, keeping the reader hooked from the very beginning. The characters are very lively and are separated with well defined personalities and quirks. I especially loved how well the story flowed chapter to chapter, gradually pulling you into the teen’s world. I remained on team Agatha since the very beginning.
