Power is her greatest weakness, but love could be her salvation.
Dana Hutson is about to make one of the toughest decisions of her life: walking away from her twin and her Pack. But the anger of her late mate’s betrayal burns deep, and her guilt threatens to push her over the edge. Combined with the magic she was born with intensifying to a lethal level, she has no choice but to leave Whiskey Hollow in search of her inner peace. But what she finds could be more than she bargained for.
Cooper Reed will do anything to keep his sister and adopted daughter safe from the demented rogue Alpha of the Bloodrose Creek Pack. That includes killing anyone who threatens his family and going on the run. He is willing to do whatever it takes. He isn’t prepared to find his mate in the midst of the chaos.
When even more secrets and dangers come to light, Dana and Cooper must band together to stop the rogue and his minions before all is lost. But will their bond be enough to harness the power needed to defeat such a foe?

Charmed Wolf is the first book in the Wolves of Whiskey Hollow series by author Lia Davis. I loved this particular book. It is a very strong solid start to this series. I like that the book is well rounded, and does not feel unfinished. The characters are strong and memorable as well. The romance is sizzling as well.
Dana she walks away from her twin and her pack. She has been abused by a former spouse. She has a lot going on in her head. I found her strong, determined, and very alpha. There are not too many women written like Dana's character is, and I loved it. She is more alpha than her mate but she still retains her femininity. I would love to see more characters like her in the future.
Cooper he is strong, caring, and has a ton on his plate too. He is also intuitively understanding. He knows he is a beta but he doesn't let that really interfere in his love for Dana. He is secure enough in himself that her being stronger does not even factor in for him. I really adored that. He is a loving person who can balance Dana if she gives him a chance.
Over all this story introduces some very original ideas. I love the twist at the end of the book. I also want more. I would love to see where Ms. Davis takes us next. If you love to fall in love and like magic and wolves thrown into the mix I highly recommend this story for you.
