Betsy Hobill had always made bad choices in her life, but the last one was deadly and she was once more on the run. All she had ever wanted was what her older sister had, but now, it looked like she’d be lucky to make it through this Christmas.
Marcus knew Betsy was for him, his mate, but after being rejected once from her, could he still offer his heart on a plate, not to mention his best friend, Boone?
But will the threat to Betsy’s life take her away from all? Will this Christmas have another happy ending as her sister had last year?

Betsy knew she was a submissive.  Her search to find the dominant of her dreams lead to finding an abusive a$$hole.  Marcus knew Betsy was right for him but is he willing to give her a second opportunity at his heart?  In Loving Whispers by Trinity Blacio we find out just how much courage Marcus has.  This is a quick read and the second installment in Ms. Blacio's Valley of Whisper's series.  While it is a stand alone, you will appreciate the nuances of the relationship between the secondary characters having read the first.
Betsy is bruised, not just physically but also emotionally.  She is afraid to trust her judgment.  She was almost sure that Marcus could give her what she needed but did she have the courage to try again?  I loved seeing Marcus and Betsy as they fought their fears to find a way to be together.  And then Ms. Blacio threw a wrinkle with the addition of Boone. Did Betsy's heart stretch enough to find love not only for Marcus but Boone as well?  I loved the journey that Betsy and Marcus made.  Boone was a surprise but I like the fact that Ms. Blacio made him an integral part of their blossoming relationship and not just an add-on.  While short, I did enjoy this story and look forward to seeing where else she will take us in this new world.
