Love is blog with Elizabeth Noble CONTEST

What Love is …. And why do we read about it?

There are many answers to the question what love is, just as there are many types of love. I love my children and grandchildren, my pets and many friends. I think it’s a safe bet to say everyone reading this blog loves to read.

What is it about love that we love to read about so much?

Love is a very powerful driving force that can make people do something they normally wouldn’t. The generally shy guy takes a chance and talks to his crush in the hopes of finding love. Or, someone is pushed to the breaking point in order to protect the one he loves.

This list goes on and on really.

Love is also the ability to accept another person, their good and bad points, limitations and all. I think that’s the heart of any romance novel, the unconditional love we all seek. In a novel we can suspend reality and live with a couple who find each other and stop at nothing to be together. Or we see that couple who’ve been together forever and rediscover what their love was based in to begin with. Maybe it’s a couple who were thrown together in unusual circumstances or one that reconnects after a time apart. They’ve grown into different people and now are able to give as well as receive the love offered.

Love is not only giving, but it’s receiving. Some people have a hard time accepting the love in their lives. We all need it. We all deserve it and we all have a hard time accepting it at one point or another in our lives.

I’d like to think reading about the romantic struggles and plights of fictional characters gives we, as readers, a safe place to grow. In the books we read we see a little of ourselves. Our successes and failures. By reading books centered on love we see there are plenty others just like us in the world. We can learn from those fictional characters and situations. We’re given hope that all is not lost, even when one situation doesn’t work out another is right around the corner.

Reading romance novels is a great escape, but also a wonderful way to recharge your spirit, learn to give and receive love and simply enjoy the little things in life. I have to believe we’re all better off for it.

Series Blurb:

Every life is a circle, and sometimes those circles connect and overlap in unexpected ways, even if the patterns they form aren’t obvious at first glance.

Past and present, from the wilderness to small towns and cities, the greedy and evil seek to exploit the vulnerable. The brave men of law enforcement fight to protect the innocent and punish the guilty—but they’re not alone. Men from all walks of life are called to stand beside them and solve these mysteries. Along the way, lives intertwine as couples are reminded that one thing makes the struggle worthwhile: love.

Bio:
Elizabeth Noble started telling stories before she actually knew how to write, and her family was very happy when she learned to put words on a page. Those words turned into fan fiction that turned into a genuine love of M/M romance fiction. Being able to share her works with Dreamspinner is really a dream come true. She has a real love for a good mystery complete with murder and twisty plots as well as all things sci-fi, futuristic, and supernatural and a bit of an unnatural interest in a super-volcano in Wyoming.
Elizabeth has three grown children and is now happily owned by an adorable mixed breed canine princess and one tabby cat. She lives in her native northeast Ohio, the perfect place for gardening, winter and summer sports (go Tribe and Cavs!). When she's not writing she's working as a veterinary nurse, so don't be surprised to see her men with a pet or three who are a very big part of their lives.
Elizabeth received several amateur writing awards. Since being published several of her novels have received honorable mentions in the Rainbow Awards. Her novel Jewel Cave was a runner up in the 2015 Rainbow awards in the Gay Mystery/Thriller category.
