They know a thousand ways to kill...and zero ways to love.
Baxter is the Battle Bunny everyone stares at. He's pierced in places that make life interesting, as snarky as they come, and so lonely his heart screams out for someone to simply acknowledge his existence. When someone does, Bax feels as though he has to fight everyone, including his own brothers, to keep the man that speaks to his soul.
Dominic O'Leary had been the alpha of his pack when they were betrayed and turned over to the scientists. By the time he escaped, his pack was decimated and Dominic and his brother had been changed forever. Discovering his mate among a family of bunnies should have brought him great joy, but the scientists took that from him with their sick experiments.
When Baxter's family prevents him from claiming his mate, Dominic must use an ancient and seldom used law to force them to allow him time with Bax. But an interfering family seems to be the least of their problems. People are getting sick, the baby won't stop crying, and the vampire who owns their abandoned mansion is back. No one ever said life was easy, but does it have to be so damn hard?

Review
Baxter is the snarky one within his family. He uses sarcasm to hide his insecurities. But Dominic doesn’t allow Baxter the safety of words and attitude. He sees beneath the surface, but without a scent, can Dominic prove there are mates. Will Baxter’s family keep both men from finding out if they have a future? In Baxter by Stormy Glenn and Bellann Summer, we find out if another battle bunny finds their happily ever after.
I liked Baxter. He loves his family but he isn’t too sure they appreciate what he brings to the table. He is attracted to Dominic and Dominic is sure they are mates but Baxter’s family is making life difficult. Do they not want him to be happy, even if it is for a short while? I adored Dominic. He fought for the mate he knew was his. He appreciated Baxter and was unwilling to allow him to be mistreated, even if it was by family. He appreciated and loved the man fated to be his and would do whatever was necessary to convince Baxter’s family of his devotion.
I thought this story was well written and the characters were fully developed. The sense of family felt real and the journey believable. I am thoroughly enjoying this series of unlikely heroes by Ms. Glenn and Ms. Summer.
