Aria Valderi is a day walker, a vampire that can walk in the sun. Being a descendant of the original queen of the vampires has its perks, but finding out her mate is a wolf shifter isn't one of them. He's insufferable, bossy, and too damn sexy for his own good.

Trevan Stone knows Aria is his. Unfortunately, his tough little vamp has been wreaking all kinds of havoc and now too many people want her dead. It's going to take more than Trevan can do as a shifter to protect his woman.

Trevan has a secret. One that could put an end to their future together, but it’s not nearly as big as the one her people have, which could end the future of the entire clan. If he can save her from the vampire council that wants her destroyed, there might be a chance for them to work through their issues. But saving her means giving up the reason for his existence, the drive that has pushed him for the last eighty years.

Review
Aria is a vampire who can walk in the day light, something not all vampires can do. She is also a master vampire responsible for policing rogue vampires. She has found her mate, so she should be on top of the world but nothing could be further from the truth. Her mate is a shifter and unfortunately the connection between shifters and vampires is complicated at best. Added to that tenuous relationship, her mate is hiding something. Can Aria and Trevan move past their problematic feelings and learn to trust in each other? In A Fang in the Sass by Milly Taiden we find out.
Logan and Aria are aware they are mates, but neither is ready for what that means. I loved that Ms. Taiden allowed their chemistry to build even as they fought their feelings. While Aria wasn’t sure they had a future, Logan knew once his secret came out he just may lose the one fated for him. Finding a middle ground wasn’t easy but Logan and Aria have little choice once they look beyond outside forces and looked to each other.
I enjoyed seeing how Ms. Taiden laid out their journey. The story felt believable as two strong willed individuals learned to trust in each other. I enjoyed this quick read and look forward to reading more in this series.
