Creed lives on the top of a mountain for a reason. He doesn't like people. When his quiet is invaded by thugs with guns, Creed pulls his out, and his is bigger. Finding Tyler in the aftermath was a bonus he didn't want. When lust takes over, the night is fantastic, but in the morning, Creed panics and sends Tyler away.
Being kidnapped, rescued, and having the greatest sex of his life only to wake up alone has sent Tyler Pennington to a therapist. When he overhears something that makes him feel betrayed by everyone he knows, Tyler runs, setting into motion a series of events that brings him right back to where he started—Creed's bed.
By the time Creed comes to his senses, Tyler is gone. After months of searching, Creed finds him in the last place he expected him. This time, Creed plans to keep the gorgeous man. Others have a different idea. When Tyler's past comes back to destroy him, they have to use every trick in the book to make it out alive. But will that be enough, or will they lose the happiness they found on Creed's mountain top?

Review
Creed is happiest alone on his mountain. Being around people is not working for him and with short trips into town he is able to limit his contact. That is until he sees a man hop out the trunk of a car and run.
Tyler is slowly moving beyond the past, that is until he finds himself tied up in the trunk of a car. Living is his focus and with Creed’s help he has a chance. But what happens when he is safe? Will Creed accept that although their time was brief it was meaningful?
Creed is the latest story in Stormy Glenn’s Special Operations series. I adored this series and was ecstatic that Ms. Glenn returned us to this world. While Tyler has a mention in a previous story in this series, you don’t need to read prior stories to enjoy this one. Creed is the epitome of strong and silent. He has seen much and most of it bad. He has made a life for himself on the top of his mountain and isn’t ready for the feelings Tyler brings out in him. His emotions are frozen and he doesn’t have a problem with that. So in spite of the chemistry between him and his unexpected guest, Creed sends Tyler home. Tyler is use to being unwanted. His parents didn’t, his grandfather doesn’t and his brother does little to add him to his full world. But Creed is the one who pushes Tyler to the limits. I felt sorry for Tyler but I was also impressed with his ability to accept and move forward, even if it was painful and he is alone. Ms. Glenn did not sugarcoat Tyler’s feelings and just how alone he felt. But she also showed us the mettle of this man. He was down but not out which I appreciated. He was loved but he didn’t know it and it’s possible he never would. But Ms. Glenn does a wonderful job of showing just how resourceful Tyler is. I loved that his family had to fight for him. This story was well written and a wonderful addition to this series. I thoroughly enjoyed it and looked forward to more.
