Only a sacrifice can break his curse, and only the love of a maddening werewolf can satisfy his heart.
Trying to avoid an arranged marriage is easier said than done. But Anson seems to have accomplished the impossible. Now if he can put off fighting his twin to the death, he can avoid becoming alpha of his clan as well. The Wolf in the Forest hears and grants his unspoken wish, because one minute Anson’s in Alaska with his clan, and the next he’s in southern Germany surrounded by athmae—lust demons. One particular demon takes an interest in Anson, a very personal interest. Anson isn’t attracted to men, but around Liam, he can think of nothing but getting to know the demon in every way possible.
Liam cast a spell for a wolf, and Anson exceeds his expectations. He’s golden, he’s sexy and he’s a werewolf—a unique being in the world of shifters. After a hundred years of cursed living, Liam has a chance to finally break free from the spell holding his inner wolf at bay and embrace both his wolf and demon heritage. He never planned on falling in love with Anson, or of taking the maddening werewolf to mate. But his plans for a happily-ever-after come to a screeching halt when the evil sorceress who cursed him returns. She refuses to take no for an answer, and then she sets her sights on Anson…
Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of group sex, and one scene of dubious consent.

Review

Wolf Wanted by Marie Harte is the second book in the Mark of Lycos series. I did not read the first book in this series, and I was not lost reading this one. There are many layers to this book, and lore. I liked those parts gave it almost a fairytale quality to the story. I loved as a kid the idea that prince charming could come and break a curse, well in this story, our “prince” well he is a bit of a rebellious hellion.
Anson he is being forced into the mating lottery the do every ten years. He wants a mate someday, but he wants this mate to love him, not his title as the next Alpha. He wants someone that sees the real person underneath that. He has never been forced into the lottery before but his uncle the Alpha right now is like your gonna do this no matter what. So Anson does. Reluctantly.
William Masterson, or just Liam as he likes to be called, he has been praying for a long time for a wolf of his very own. He is part Banathmae, and part wolf. And needs a wolf to break his curse. I can say I truly loved getting to know the Banathmae. I love it when an author brings in paranormals I do not normally hear about. They have traditions and complexity to them. I like Liam he is strong, but soft at the same time. He really wants Anson to love him and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Over all I loved this story and want more! There is some group sex in this book but the author does a great job of explaining why it is necessary, so it flows great with the rest of the story. There is one place where there truly is some dubious consent. But again you figure out why and love the main characters more for it. This is a great paranormal read, and I want the next one in the series, I gotta know what happens next.
