The captain’s luck is finally changing. After four years of being lost in space, his starship, The Prayer, has found an inhabitable planet to land on. The whole crew—and his lovers Thomas, Rick, and Zachery in particular—are happy to set foot on terra firma again, not least because the planet comes with plenty of trees to hide behind for those…intimate occasions. But the fertile landscape hides a secret. When the captain finds himself abducted by an alien life form, he’s got limited time to get back to his crew before they succumb to infighting. Only the alien is so very attractive…

Review

The Captain's Encounter is the second book in the A Drift series by author T.J. Land. They have to be read in order. It is like a serial, and each book has a different scene. This scene we have Rick, Thomas, Zackery, and the Captain all in bed and getting along very well. Rick has the urge to know Zackery and Thomas outside the bedroom. He really doesn't know the other two men well, and wants to feel more connected to them.
The Captain manages to find an interesting Alien on a new and interesting world. Throw that all together and you have this episode of A Drift. I liked that the men are forming bonds. While I like books with a ton of sex in them, I like the sex to have meaning in the book. In this one it does finally, they are all bonding, and forming a unit. I cannot wait for more and to see what happens to the Captain and his men next.
