Ten years ago Penelope Isabella Aaron had been a pain in Brock Mann’s you-know-what. Much has changed in a decade: “PIA” as he code-named her, has grown up and is about to attend her first Alliance of Planets summit conference, and Brock has been transformed into a cyborg after a near-fatal attack. Now a secret agent with Cyber Operations, a covert paramilitary organization, Brock gets called in, not when the going gets tough, but when the going gets impossible. So when he’s unexpectedly assigned to escort Penelope to the summit meeting, he balks at babysitting a prissy ambassador. But after a terrorist bombing, a crash landing on a hostile planet, and a growing attraction to his protectee, Operation: PIA may become his most impossible assignment yet.

Stranded with the Cyborg is the first book in the Cy Ops series by Cara Bristol. I love this series so far. There are so many interesting ways this book can go, and I cannot wait for more. I like Ms. Bristol's imagination, she has some original ideas. In this book we meet Penelope she is a strong woman who wants to be independent. She has a wicked sense of humor. She has her first major job she wants to do really well. She has earned her titles and worked her way up from the bottom.
Brock has been her protector before. She was a bratty kid at the time. Now she is a beautiful, sophisticated young woman he cannot help but want. They end up being crash landed. They have only each other to rely on. They both find out that they did not know as much as they thought about the other one. I liked watching them develop, and see who they really were under pressure. Nothing like a tragedy to prove who you really are.
I loved this story and could not get enough of it. I want more!! I hope the author has many more in the future, I will be in line to read them.
