Troy Summers is a cop. He’s recently been partnered with fellow police officer, Jamie Everson, and they get along great. He likes Jamie’s brother, Nicky, even more.
When Nicky gets beaten up by his ex-boyfriend and comes to him for help, Troy can’t say no, not when it brings Nicky right into his arms. Even still, Troy wants to take things slow with Nicky. He knows they have a connection but he wants to build a relationship with him, even if it means hiding it from Nicky’s brother and the rest of the world.
But when Troy gets shot during a drug bust, all bets are off. Their secret relationship comes out. It not only lets everyone know that they’ve been living together, but brings Bruce back into the picture. Jamie and Troy have to work together to save not only Nicky but themselves, but can they save Nicky in time or will Troy lose the most intriguing man he’s ever met?
Note: This book was previously published with another publisher and has been extensively revised and expanded.

Gay, abused and crushing on your straight brother’s partner. Well Nicky wasn’t expecting life to be quite this complex but in Picture Me Perfect by Stormy Glenn what’s one more problem? Nicky is barely making do. His boyfriend is abusive and dealing and his brother is a cop. A cop who doesn’t think much of Nicky’s needs and desires. While his brother loves him, the way he shows it isn’t the best. And when Nicky has nowhere else to turn, he finds himself with the best thing ever…Troy. But with his desire to hide his budding relationship, will he be able to keep Troy?
Ms. Glenn again gives us a story that is emotionally fulfilling, my favorite kind. Nicky is scrappy. He is a non-traditional man in a way that has nothing to do with his sexual orientation. I loved that Troy accepted Nicky as he is. He made no effort to change him and in fact appreciated what Nicky brought to their relationship. I loved the strength that Troy helped Nicky find. I loved that Troy stood up for and to Nicky when needed. I loved the relationship they forged even if it was a bit unconventional, at least when looking at traditional male roles. Ms. Glenn gave us a story that was full of emotion, depth and love. It pulled at my heartstrings even as I wanted Nicky to be successful as he learned to stand up for himself and his needs. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I enjoyed seeing the growth of both Nicky and his brother. And I loved seeing his budding relationship grow into something which feels like it will be amazing with time.
