But Jacko doesn’t handle the news as well. Will she have a child but loose a husband? Midnight Quest by Lisa Marie Rice continues Jacko and Lauren’s love story. It is best read after Midnight Vengeance at the minimum.
I love the men is Ms. Rice’s Men of Midnight series and Jacko is no exception. But in this story, Ms. Rice gives us a deeper look into what makes the man. We see beneath his strong, silent alpha skin into the fears hidden even from the man. I was impressed with the character of Lauren as well in this story. Her faith in the man she loved was extraordinary. Jacko was struggling and Lauren battled her fear and her joy. But even as she battled she was steadfast in her faith in Jacko. She surrounded him with her love and was the beacon which helped Jacko see he was more than his past. Ms. Rice took us past the happily ever after and showed us the work required to maintain a healthy relationship. This story was emotional, joyful and full of love and friendship. It was a wonderful read a well worth your time and money.
