Review
When Dorian finds an innocent in the middle of a gun deal will he blow his cover to protect him? In Little Bit of Nothing the eighth installment of Stormy Glenn’s Cade Creek series, Dorian’s honor is put to the test. He is already in a precarious position and finding Artie in the trunk of the car isn’t helping. But even when someone appears to be bad, Ms. Glenn has a trick up her sleeve. Dorian isn’t all that he appears but it is becoming obvious that he is becoming burned out. Will he be able to continue the charade without getting him or anyone else killed. I really enjoyed getting to know Dorian. We met him previously but with the focus on him, we see just how precarious his life is. I loved that even as he appeared to be an awful man, his character and honor still managed to shine through. And as he fell in love with Artie the choices he was left with became slimmer and less palatable. And Artie was given a raw deal. He is sold and the quality of the life he has left isn’t looking too good. That is until he meets Dorian. But can Artie accept what falling in love with Dorian will mean? This story was a wonderful addition to this series. Ms. Glenn gave us two men who needed each other in ways that were unexpected. Finding time to fall in love is at a premium and maintaining a safe environment is even harder to come by. But Ms. Glenn found a way for Dorian and Artie to learn how much they needed and loved each other. This is a wonderful addition to this series and I enjoyed seeing how Ms. Glenn extracted these two characters from the stickiness that has become their lives.
