What happens when a vampire saves your life? Ask Jack and Hunter. They fit that bill to the T. The vacation from hell—insert plane crash and vampire neighbors and cold Alaskan cabin—actually turned into something they’d always remember.

When they choose the vampires, lines are crossed in the sand, and Hunter knows he and Jack need to be part of their lives forever. How far would they go for a companion, just for one little bite?

The Bite by Jenny Salt is the second book in the Ace Ridge series. We have Hunter and Jack back, along with Marcus and Cinder. This is not a stand alone book, you have to read the first one to understand this one. I personally felt this book lacked romance. There was nothing romantic about this book for me. I get the serial style of writing the author is using but really hurts this book a lot. Leaves you feeling like there is a huge part of the book you are missing. I couldn't understand why on a lot of things that went on in this book. I think for me this is the last one for me from this author, I just did not like it at all.
Hunter well he is kind of a jerk in this book. He loves his husband Jack but lusts after Cinder. It seems to me it is all about his needs and Jack is just there collecting dust.
Jack is way to understanding. Almost doormat understanding. I get wanting to fight for your guy no matter what, but once in a while it should have been about Jack's needs too.
Over all this is not a series I would recommend to a true romantic like myself, I think you would find it lacking and jumbled.
