Review
Viking Claimed by Kate Pearce is the fourth story in her Triad Series. And takes off with Einarr twin’s Aki. Aki isn’t ready to be thrust into a world well beyond what he could have imagined. To add insult to injury is twin has found his mate leaving Aki to navigate this new world alone and he isn’t adjusting well at all. Ms. Pearce does a wonderful job of articulating Aki’s frustration and dissatisfaction. But least you think it is all negative, she balances it quite well with hope. Aki isn’t to be alone for long but can he accept what fate has in store for him? Elli isn’t sure what to think of Aki. She is drawn to him. Teaching him allows her to be closer to him but is she ready to move beyond her fear? I loved that Aki and Elli each have to move past their fear. Ms. Pearce allowed us to see their struggle to accept the love fate has in store for them. This is a wonderful quick read. Kate Pearce continues to draw you into this world and I am enjoying seeing old characters as they interact with the new. I can’t wait to see what else she will bring us in this new world she has created.
