What’s worse than a fear of flying? A plane crash—and it wasn’t what Jack had in mind for a romantic getaway. Neither did Hunter, whose marriage proposal—the one scheduled for thirty-two thousand feet—came to a screeching halt when their plane was redirected to Fairbanks. A romantic cabin where deliciously handsome and rugged Marcus is landlord, soon turns Jack’s and Hunter’s thoughts into something that really could heat things up. That is until they find out the truth about Marcus. He’s a creature of the night, fangs and all.

Sweet is the Night by Jenny Salt starts of the Ace Ridge series. Jack has a real fear of flying. He is a EMT with long hours and he needs a get away. So his lover, Hunter has planned a perfect surprise one. He doesn't count on the plane having difficulties and having to stop in Alaska. They are both openly gay and very much in love. They end up at cabins just outside the city. There they meet Marcus Burn the cabin owner a man with many mysteries of his own.
This was an okay read. Some places it took twists and turns so fast I as the reader was lost along the way. The ending of this book is like not really an ending. It is like the author just stopped writing. I don't know if I would want to read more in this series. I really had a hard time following what was going on. So yes the romance is there for Jack and Hunter that was an a plus. The rest was a huh? For me.
