Publisher’s blurb
Kian had a history of bad luck with alphas. Because when you’re an omega, with the palest shade of blond hair and eyes an odd shade of frosted blue, alphas were nothing but trouble. Most alphas wanted to use him for his looks or for what he could do, but no good had ever come from any interaction Kian had ever had with one of them. Kian had certain other abilities that made him even more special and more attractive to alphas.

It was this special ability that brought him to the attention of the Dark Hollow Wolves. And they had a new alpha. He was downright gorgeous, stern, and old-fashioned. But one thing he said he’d never do was mate an omega. As their love struggles to take root, Kian must learn to trust in Jim and they have to stand together against the sinister outside forces that sent Kian to the pack in the first place and that threaten to drive a wedge between another one of the alphas and his mate to tear both them and the pack apart.

Kian’s Alpha is the 13th book in the Dark Hollows Pack series by Shannon West. You really do need to read these books in order. You meet a lot of people who we know and love from previous books. Nicky is my favorite to revisit and we get to see him again. I love that character’s charm and spirit.
Kian is an omega. Now we know by now omegas are special. They each have powers that are unique and their own. Well Kian can influence others, read minds to a point, and some empathic abilities to.  This saves him from his early childhood and early adulthood experiences.  He is at the mercy of an abusive alpha and beta when we meet him.   That is until his sister and the Dark Hollow Pack save him.
Jim is part of the Dark Hollow Pack, he is also an alpha.  He is a bit bossy, but kind.  He is also the mate to Kian.  Kian has learned all alphas cannot be trusted. Jim has to learn to be patient and let Kian come to him.
Over all this one is a great addition to the Dark Hollow Pack series.  There is a lot of politics going on as well as a great love story. I really loved this one.  I love that Kian doesn’t just roll over and take it; he fights in his own way. I also like the Jim has to learn sometimes love is worth the fight.
Anyone who is a fan of this series will really enjoy this book. I hope there are many more in the Dark Hollow Pack series in the future.
