Eden is a Halfling. Part human, part wolf. An outcast in the shifter community. Being different doesn’t bother her—much. She just wished that her best friend and sexy alpha werewolf Xander would notice her. When her and Xander are put in danger, getting Xander’s attention is the least of her worries. Now it’s survival time. And if she can will her life include Xander by her side?

Xander must claim a mate by his birthday. He’s already found a woman he craves, but Eden is forbidden. When a betrayal puts them in peril, he vows to protect Eden with his life. But being so close to her presents a temptation he can’t fight. Will he give into his desire and put her in more danger or walk away from the only woman he’ll ever love?

Off Limits by author Bethany Shaw is a fast paced but steamy read. I found myself really loving Eden our Halfling. Everyone in her life has told her being half shifter, and half human makes her weak, but she is anything but weak. She is a strong independent woman with a mind of her own. She tries twice as hard to prove she is just as good as any shifter out there. I liked her spirit. She is a loyal loving friend you would want on your side in a fight.
Xander he is a strong male.  He follows his heart, and is willing to go against traditions. He doesn’t care Eden is a Halfling. She is his mate and that is all that matters to him. He has a loyal heart and dominating nature.
Over all this is a really  good book. I have not read the previous ones in the A Hunted series, but  I was not lost in this book at all.  I love that. I would like to go back and see what I missed now that I love this book so much. If you like shifters, true love, and a great storyline this is the book to pick up.
