Captivity makes the heart grow kinkier...
When interstellar mercenary Captain Nick Rand rescues a beautiful enemy from his own men, he thinks she's the answer to his vampire prayers. On the verge of starvation thanks to the destruction of his hemosynther, he's in desperate need of a female blood donor.
Lieutenant Zara Tahir needs Nick Rand as badly as he needs her. Without Nick's blood, Zara's overactive immune system will kill her.
But Zara has no intention of embracing captivity. While she's willing to exchange blood for blood, maybe even play a kinky game or two with the handsome vampire dominant, he's still the enemy. She can't allow herself to see him as anything more.
Then Rand's enemies make things a lot more complicated...

If you are a fan of Angela Knight’s Mageverse series you will adore Armored Hearts.  In Armored hearts we have Lieutenant Zara Tahir, she is a blood slave. Her vampire died. So now she has blood sickness.  She needs a vampire to feed from her and to give her his blood to take away the sickness. She is also working with the local rebels to free the planet of a cult hell bent on taking over. Well the cult soldiers have captured her and are about to rape her when we meet her savior,  Captain Nick Rand. Rand is a mercenary working right now for the cult.  His hemosynther has been broken, means he needs a blood slave and fast. Zara fits the bill. Doesn’t hurt that he is attracted to her and finds her sex as hell.  They have chemistry that is off the charts. Blood might be the reason they get together but it will be love that keeps them together on a planet in the middle of a civil war.  I love how Ms. Knight brings the right amount of romance and story to keep me wanting more. If you do read the Mageverse series you too might find some similarities in this story that make you love it even more. When you want a scifi with romance that is off the charts hot this is the one to pick up.
