Eighteen years earlier, Charma lost her destined soul mate. Convinced he must be dead, she kept her fears to herself so as not to destroy the morale of the Outsiders who already live with a shaky prophecy as their only guide.
Dr. Jason Randall is a man used to getting what he wants. There has never been a problem he couldn't out think or a situation he wasn't capable of handling.

Now they are both hunted by not one but two demons as they lead the slowly forming group of Outsiders out of the darkness and back into the light. The two strong souls will have to decide if prophecy alone is enough reason to stay together through insane odds...or if love is their true fate.

Love Beyond Sanity is the second book in the Outsiders series by author Rebecca Royce. I really loved this book. Lots of layers and we are getting to really know the world the Outsiders live in more in depth.  Charma is a healer. With this gift comes a price. She takes in everyone’s emotional pain.  Her parents had given her up as a baby to save her from the evil closing in on them.  She lives on a private island off the coast of Maine. She gets panic attacks. Her other half is locked up in an insane asylum and refuses to even dream walk with her anymore.  She has to go save him, though she is reluctant, touching minds with someone mentally unstable is a tricky thing and can cause Charma serious harm. She still goes and does her duty. Even though taking on the mentally ill is more than she can even manage.
Jason Randall. He is having a hard timing knowing what is real and what is not. He has been to psych school and how is trapped in his own mind. The irony of this is not lost on him. Science has always been his friend, and takes great comfort in his books. He has always tried to do what he is told and fit in. But a month ago his parents put him in the asylum.   He doesn’t know it yet but he is a body controller and the dreams he keeps having are very important. More important than even he knows.
I love the world building in this book. There is a lot so be sure to read this one when you have time to sink into a story and really get into it.  You will meet other Outsiders and find out a little about them too. I particularly loved Gabe and glad his story is next.  When you want a great romance, with lots of story this is a great series to pick up. It is one I cannot wait to read more  of find out who falls in love  next and how they will defeat the evil that is coming.
