Dangerous Magic is the 5th book in the Pinnacles of Power series by Jessica Lauryn. I have not read the previous books and was not lost in this story at all. This story is about Corinne and her journey from just settling in life to true love.
Corinne has two children with a man she knows she cannot trust. She has divorced him once already, she is considering for the sake of her children taking him back. She figures happiness is over rated she will settle for making her kids happy.
That is when an old flame comes back into her life. Jack. Jack used to be her co worker she had always had feelings for him and he does still for her. He is also a witch. He is fair, kind, and willing to explore his feelings for Corinne.
I liked the sweet nature of this story. Corinne is a lovable character who is doing the best she can in her life. Jack is learning a little bit more about what kind of man he is and what his magic can do. I found this love story to be sweet. I would love to read more in this series. I would love to explore the world Jack lives in and find out what else lies there.
