Be Warned: MPREG, m/m sex, public exhibition

What happened to the man that Cooper fell in love with?  He was abducted and operated on and instead of being able to share his fears and concerns with his love; his love has changed into a possessive and hateful person.  Will Cooper’s new friend bring understanding or more pain?  That is the question in Jacey Holbrand third installment of The AgencyCooper’s Condition.  This story can be read as a stand-alone but I think I would have enjoyed it more having read prior stories in the series.  This was my first time reading Ms. Holbrand and it will not be the last.  This story was well written.  Cooper’s emotional well had run dry and Ms. Holbrand articulated that fact quite well.  I understood and felt for Cooper’s feelings of isolation even as he began to fear Micha.  I appreciated how Cooper had reached the end of his figurative rope.  And then to learn that not only was he not alone but he was pregnant!  Talk about being caught off guard.  I love that Cooper found friends that could help him cope.  I also loved how Ms. Holbrand resolved Cooper and Micha’s relationship.  While we only see Micha from Cooper’s perspective, it was nice to see that Cooper’s instincts were not off.  It was wonderful seeing the love between Micha and Cooper was real and I am looking forward to seeing how Ms. Holbrand answers the lingering questions Seth has about those in his life.
