Review
Naming His Mate by author M. Limages is the 17th book in the Black Hills Wolves series.  This is the first time I have read this series and I was not lost. So I would say this book can be read as a stand alone and understood just fine.
Mike Hadley is the sheriff of the small town of Collins. He takes his job very seriously. He is brave, fair, and honest.  He has a heart of gold and willingness to believe in the truth.  But don’t cross him he can’t take you out too.
Damien is a werewolf he is also Mike’s mate. Small problem…Mike is not a werewolf.  He tries to protect Mike as he investigates the disappearances.  He is willing to go against anyone or anything to protect his mate. He just hopes his mate can take the truth when he tells it to him.
Over all this is a pretty good story. I did find myself confused in a few places. They are mates but act like long time lovers when they just meet.  So sometimes the dialogue just came off as what are they talking about to me. Because how could they say that if they just met. So be willing to suspend some belief here. If you can do that this is a really sweet love story.  I liked very much and would read others in t his series. I would love to go back and see what I missed and how it all builds up to this point too.
