Left for dead by the leaders of his homeworld for being flawed, Ris Feral’s life takes a sharp turn when he’s picked up and trained by the Intergalactic Garuda Empire to pilot the Catapult, the galaxy’s deadliest thinking war machine. But wreaking havoc, fighting someone else’s wars, and doing all he’d been told, no questions asked, made for one empty and lonely existence.
Fortunately, Ris has always known the Catapult had been designed for two pilots, not one. When the ship noticeably reacts to a spy from an enemy planet, Ris knows the man posing as Inspector Caru Killas is his fated mate and his missing half. Disobeying orders, being the most wanted man in the empire, and risking his life is the easy bit. Can Ris convince Caru to surrender his heart and allegiance to him, and mount the Catapult?
A Siren Erotic Romance
Mounting the Catapult by Fel Fern has a great storyline to it. I loved the character of Ris. He was left for dead by his own people because he could not access his sand wolf when he was young. Then he gets a second chance at life when the Intergalactic Garuda Empire decides to train him. They train him for a very special assignment to pilot their war machine Catapult. Ris is a very strong man. When he was left for dead at the age of ten he decided then and there to do what it took to live. His fighting spirit helps me be the pilot to the Catapult. But he knows he has a mate out there and that he too will be a pilot to the Catapult.
Caru tries to infiltrate the Catapult. He is pretending to be part of the Garuda but his mission is to stop the Catapult from killing any more people. He just has to gain the intelligence so he can bring it to the resistance. But upon meeting Ris everything changes. I like Caru he is brave, loyal, and really kind hearted.
Both of these men will have to be stronger than they have ever thought to be in order to be mates. I did feel the insta love was pushed in this book and pushed hard. But it is okay it didn’t detract from my loving the story I just had to suspend some belief in this story. I can do that for a great story and this one is. I really love how Fel Fern spins this story and I would love to read more from them in the future. Hopefully more in this world I would love to know more about it and those who live there.
