Wolf's Sacrifice (Pack of Light) by Draven St. James - Romance>Erotic Romance

Sean Maddox has one basic goal: to protect the Northwest Pack. That priority helps him stay grounded--until the day the pack rescues Liam. Suddenly Sean is finding any excuse to be around the sweet, blind shifter. But trying to focus his thoughts on keeping Liam safe and not exploring the whole laundry list of carnal fantasies he's been having is anything but grounding. It doesn't help that Sean's wolf makes it damn clear it believes Liam belongs to him.

From the first deep breath of Sean Maddox's intoxicating scent, all Liam wants to do is strip naked for the sexy beta and let the wolf claim him. Hiding away his desires seems like the best plan, given after a lifetime in captivity Liam is just learning what it means to be free. What does he know about being a mate? More to the point, would Sean even want him if he knew the truth?

As Sean and Liam struggle with their growing craving for each other an old enemy steps out of the shadows. With secrets lurking and fate twisting two worlds together a sacrifice must be made, but can the two mates live with the consequences?

Review
Wolf’s Sacrifice is the second book in the Pack of Light series by author Draven St. James.   This is my first time reading this series, I did feel like there were big chunks of the story I was missing, so I would suggest reading this series in order for best enjoyment.

Liam has been rescued from a facility that was experimenting on him and his family.  Liam is very sick when we meet him.  He doesn’t have long to live. He also has some really hard choices coming up. You see he has met his mate.  Sean, the pack Beta.   He feels the pull but the drugs that Liam was given drowns out his scent so Sean doesn’t know Liam is his mate.  Liam feels he must keep it a secret, after all why burden a mate to have a mate that is going to die? Why give Sean all that pain and suffering.

Sean is a strong protective man. He is a perfect Beta. He has the natural instincts to protect those around him. He especially wants to protect Liam. He thinks he just wants to be a good friend with Liam.  But once he finds out that Liam is his mate, and knew it but didn’t tell Sean, Sean has to learn to trust Liam all over again.

I liked watching these two be friends long before they become lovers. The pull they have can be felt all throughout this story. I like how the author really made me invested in all the characters and made me want more of them.  I really think Pack of Light series is one I want to revisit over and over again, so I hope there are many more Pack of Light books in the future. I will be in line to read them.
