The Haven (Palm Springs Diaries) by A.J. Llewellyn - Romance>Contemporary
Elias and his lover, Josh, are celebrating a year of togetherness. Josh urges Elias to organize a romantic vacation in the place where they fell in love - Palm Springs. Given carte blanche to run amok with Josh's credit card, Elias cruises the Internet and finds a home, a whole home, as the strange ad says, by the lake and mountains. Elias has never seen anything so gorgeous. He hastily books a long weekend vacation, notifying gay porn star Samuel Colt. They owe him a sexual rematch as promised when the three met at the Oasis.

And then…total disaster. It isn't a "whole house" that awaits them. The lake and mountains are there, as beautiful and crisp as the photos indicated. But somehow, Elias missed that the home is a clapped-out, wreck of a trailer. On a holiday weekend with every hotel in town booked solid, how can the couple celebrate? And, uh-oh -- how can they hope to impress Mr. Colt with it?

Having loved the first Palm Springs Diaries so much I was really looking forward to reading The Haven by A.J. Llewellyn.  Elias and Josh have settled into their life. They have Josh’s son Julio to keep them more than a little busy. The quiet humor that Elias uses when he tells the story kept me turning the pages. They have their share of calamities and catastrophes in this book to last a life time.  But through all that the love they have shines brighter than ever.
I was looking forward to the anniversary three some. It sorta happens and sort well… you have to read that part cause wow ex wives can sure get into a mess when left alone.   Josh is a great person he handles things with love and care. Elias seems to be waiting for the other shoe to drop in this book, but his perseverance is what really holds Josh together.
There is a lot of love in this book. I am so glad we got the chance to see where Elias and Josh are today. Samuel needs his own story now.  I really would love to see where his story could go in the future. I know Elias and Josh owe him a threesome at least.
When you want a love story that shows you what happens after the happily ever after is over this is the one to pick up. Made me smile and really happy I got to read it.
