Her future was shaky after an attack left her broken, inside and out. But with the help of those around her, Briar Sapphire is determined to be stronger, better, and deserving of the mates she is blessed to have. But the universe is a fickle thing, and she will be tested yet again when danger comes calling right to her front door.
Byrne and Danel have given their mate space, space she needed to heal and to see they would never be a threat to her. But a man can only stand on the sidelines for so long. And time for their little mate has just run out. This Luhpyne and Ahnjel are going to claim the woman they love.
Love conquers all, but it may not be enough to stop the threat coming for Briar. This time though, she’s taking a stand and won’t allow her life, fresh and new, to be torn apart ever again.

Review
Briar’s Saviors by Honor James is third in the Beyond the Veil series.  This story is best read in chronological order.  I adored Briar.  She is smart, strong and funny and she has been hurt in the deepest and most hurtful way for a female.  But she is slowly clawing her way out of despair and distrust.  She is done being viewed as a victim and ready to stand and fight with the luhpyne and ahnjel that are meant to be hers.  I have seen Briar as she has protected herself and watched as she slowly rebuilt herself out of the ashes to become someone tougher and stronger.  Briar’s struggle wasn’t easy and it wasn’t pretty and Ms. James knew to portray it as such would not only be dishonest but would be a disservice to the fight to regain her sense of self.  But she did not allow Briar to struggle completely alone.  Ms. James knew that support of friends and Byrne and Danel would make her struggle more real and believable, at least for me.  And Byrne and Danel were wonderful mates to Briar.  They supported her from a distance until Briar was ready for them.  And they allowed her to call the shots even as they struggled to give her the space she needed.  I loved that they allowed Briar to heal even as they protected her and surrounded her in caring.
I loved the emotional depth and caring that Ms. James brought to her characters with this story.  It has become my favorite in this series so far and I am looking forward to what happens next in this saga.
