Kelly Royal has learned the pleasure of submitting under her husband’s gentle, but firm, hand, but Blade’s interest in dominating her seems to be gone forever. Going into labor a month early scared the hell out of her, and despite Blade’s efforts, he couldn’t hide his own fear—especially when things go terribly wrong.
Unable to forget the image of her pale and unmoving form in the hospital bed, Blade can’t even imagine taking her back into his playroom, and as soon as he brings her home from the hospital, he empties the room, vowing to never dominate her again. His fragile wife has been through enough, and he can’t imagine taking her the way he did before.
Kelly, though, has other plans. She wants her husband back, and frustrated that he thwarts her attempts to take her the way he did before, she takes matters into her own hands.

Review
In Blade’s Desire: Adoring Kelly by Leah Brooke we get to see a little bit about what happens after the happily ever after.  This story is best read after Blade’s Desire.  Ms. Brooke allows us to see that sometimes love needs a push.  Blade is struggling to move past seeing how fragile Kelly is and almost losing her permanently.  Kelly is struggling to be seen as more than a mother, more than a woman whose pregnancies were hard and remain a woman whose husband finds sexy.  I loved how Ms. Brooke allowed us to see the differences in men and women.  It was never more apparent when Blade and Kelly had such different ideas over the same facts.  It was wonderful to see their friends attempt to rein them in.  Both needed to be talked from the ledge but for different reasons.   I loved that Ms. Brooke showed that love isn’t always enough you also need communication and honesty.  I loved seeing that even with adversity after their happily ever after both Kelly and Blade were fighting to preserve their marriage, even if what they were trying to preserve was slightly different.  I thought this story was well written and full of emotional depth.  While Ms. Brooke gave us a story that had some lows she balanced it well with highs.  It was a roller coaster of emotion but well worth the ride.  I love these glimpses into relationships we fell in love with and look forward to seeing more.
