Ian: Handsome* Stoic* Protective
Melanie: Beautiful * Funny * Free Spirit

Melanie is an extrovert, loving and kind, but tough and outspoken when necessary.
Ian is an introvert, all he wants is to claim his mate and keep her safe. Grunting more than one syllable words annoys him, but opening up to his mate becomes easier as he gets to know her. Well, somewhat easier.

Ian is the head enforcer for his pack. Something is pulling at him until he hits the road, looking for his mate. He finds Melanie, a free spirit hitchhiking in New Mexico. Once he gets her to his home in East Texas, he has to protect her from a wizard who wants her for her magical abilities.

Melanie couldn't wait to explore this feeling that led her to take to the highway. Finding Ian was more than she could have hoped for. The difficult part would be telling him of her family's legacy and the job she was entrusted with.

Her Wolf Creek series are contemporary romance, paranormal, supernatural/fantasy books about werewolves and alphas, witches, Fae, shifter and shapeshifter, mates, druids and wizards. Evil Fae and Good Fae alike. Oh, and a couple of cougar shifters too!

Review
This is my first time reading Jo Ellen but after finishing Wolf Creek Enforcer I can honestly say it will not be my last.  While this is the second story in the Texas Pack series, I did not find it necessary to read the first story to understand what was happening.  I think I would have appreciated some of the nuances if I had read book one but I enjoyed Ian and Melanie’s story just fine.  When they say opposites attract, Ms. Ellen decided to put that to the test with these two.  Melanie was a go with the flow kinda gal and Ian was so not.  He liked order and rules and Melanie kept him on his toes.  Finding out that she had a calling that put her in danger, stressed poor Ian to the max but I loved that Ms. Ellen allowed their relationship time to grow so that Ian while not comfortable was at least accepting.  I adored the relationship Ian had with his brothers.  The closeness between them wasn’t just because they were pack mates.  They respected each other and loved each other and Ms. Ellen saw no reason to hide that fact.  I loved that upon meeting Melanie, she was afforded that same love and respect just because she made Ian happy.  It didn’t hurt that she lightened him up and allowed us to see his wicked sense of humor.  I thoroughly enjoyed meeting this Texas pack and am looking forward to seeing who is next to have their happily ever after.
