Because of an opportunity he’d be a fool to turn down, Lyle Powers transfers to his company’s warehouse in central Kansas. The last thing he expects is to meet another gay man in the small town, let alone one who captures his interest.
Roger Kypers is a recovering alcoholic with a twelve-year-old daughter he only gets to see for part of the summer. Neither Lyle nor Roger is looking for a relationship, and they fumble at the start, yet emotions build as Roger shows Lyle the landmarks of Oz.

But when Roger’s wicked witch of an ex-wife threatens to take his daughter away for good if he doesn’t act “normally,” he’s faced with the challenge of letting her get away with it, or fighting to accept himself and standing up for what he knows is right.

Review:
Dumped in Oz by Andrew Grey is a heartwarming story. I love how Mr. Grey brings strong emotional connections and a beautifully written story together to make a story I don’t want to put down.
Lyle is a strong man. He is the one you want in your life for the long haul. He is caring, loving and a really decent person. His strength is exactly what Roger needs to get pull him out of the hell his life has become.
Roger, is a tortured soul when we meet him. He is a good person stuck in the worst situation. With all his demons chasing him he still can find it in his heart to love again.  But does he have the courage to face all his must to have it?
Both of these characters bring to the table exactly what the other needs to be the best person that they can be.
The story has a great pace to it as well I didn’t feel like anything dragged on and on.  The love is heartfelt and I really would love more stories just like this one. Though part of a series can be read alone and enjoyed just fine.
